The annual breakdown of the Adult fiction book category as compiled by Publishers Weekly showed an -8% loss in the adult fiction category. The biggest loss was in Occult/Psychological/ Horror (-26%), Religion (-15%) and Action/Adventure (-15%). The smallest loss was in Classics (-3%). The only two gains were in Westerns (+7%) and Graphic Novels (+13).
